Dr. Shirlea North (she/her)
Dr. Shirlea North earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from Marymount University in 2011 while becoming a first-time mom to her son. Her passion for treating those with neurodegenerative conditions helped her earn not only LSVT BIG (in 2012) but also PWR!Move certification in 2020.

Dr. North also enjoyed educating active physical therapy students as a certified clinical instructor (CI) since 2012.
She continues to hold an active Direct Access certification in order to utilize her musculoskeletal expertise with any client as well as active memberships in several professional associations including American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), Virginia Physical Therapy Association (VPTA), Private Practice and Pelvic Health Sections of the APTA.
Dr. North earned her Geriatric Clinical Specialist (GCS) in 2014 to better serve the continuum care population while becoming a mom for the second time to her daughter.
With an underlying passion that started during a rehabilitation tech position while in PT school, Dr. North became not only a Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT) in 2021, but also a certified KickPink clinician in Breast Cancer Rehabilitation in 2023. Most recently, Dr. North’s earned certifications as a Female Hormone Health Clinician and Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist (PCES) in 2024.
Dr. Shirlea North, PT, DPT, GCS, CLT, PCES provides a holistic approach and compassionate care has cumulated to her ultimate passion of working clients of all genders with pelvic health and lymphatic dysfunctions to achieve optimal health and wellness.
